Sarah Gabric will be speaking to us on Norroa (vadescana) a new double-stranded RNA molecule that targets the reproduction of the Varroa destructor mite.

Sarah Gabric began working with honeybees over 15 years ago and co-owns Honeybee Acres/My Bee Supply, a small lavender farm, apiary and bee supply house with her husband Jeff Gabric in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

She studied psychology in undergraduate and graduate school and is a practicing clinical counselor as well as a master’s student in entomology with the University of Maryland College Park.

Sarah has written several articles for Bee Culture magazine documenting international beekeeping practices. She believes every beekeeper is an optimist at heart and loves to watch people’s eyes light up as they experience the wonder of working with and learning about and from honeybees.
