Extractors

NVBA has 3 extractors for member use located throughout the Northern Virginia area. One is motorized and heavier to move.

• Loan period is 1 week!.  
• Equipment is loaned out in the order in which it is requested.
• During the busy extraction period members may have to wait for availability.
• All pieces must be returned cleaned and disinfected to the custodians 

Equipment includes:

• Detailed instructions on using the equipment
  
• Stainless steel extractor with side crank (manual) for extracting from 2 (deep) to 4 (medium) frames simultaneously
• 2-piece removable cover for the extractor
• Uncapping tank consisting of 2 nesting buckets, a cover, a stabilizer, and straining screen
• 5 gallon bottling bucket with lid and valve gate
• Three graduated strainers that fit on the bottling bucket
• An electric uncapping knife
• A plastic uncapping scratcher
