NVBA Beekeeping Education Courses - 2024

Beginning Beekeeping Class - Registration is open

NVBA's 2024 Beginning Beekeeping course will be offered on line (Zoom). There will be six 2 hour classes on Wednesday from 7:00-9pm, a hands on wooden ware workshop and visit to an apiary in April.
This is an online, instructor led course which will cover beekeeping basics such as Honey Bee biology, beekeeping equipment, basic colony management, pests, apiary location and local laws. You will be prepared to order equipment and bees, get started beekeeping in spring and care for your bees through the first year. There will also be a hands on wooden ware workshop on Jan 27, Meet your Mentor Social on Feb 24 and an apiary session in April which will be scheduled as weather permits.
Dates: Jan 17, 24, 31 and Feb 7, 14, 21 with hands on wooden ware workshop on Jan 27.
Cost: $125

If you have previously taken The Beginning Beekeeping Class you may audit it for free. Register for the class and when you get to the payment page do not pay. Then, send an email to nvba@novabees.org letting us know you signed up and we will complete your registration.
