June 25 - NVBA Meeting - Kim Mahalick - The many uses of Snelgrove boards

  • 25 Jun 2024
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Lost your hive to swarming? Learn how the Snelgrove Board can help you split your colonies or raise Queens from Queen cells without losing your colony work force.

Kim will talk about the many uses of the Snelgrove (double Screen) board. Incorporating Snelgroves in your bee yards can limit swarming, limit numbers of colony stacks, and enable the beekeeper to simultaneously raise queens, without losing large honey workforce.

Kim Mehalick is a past president of Maryland State Beekeepers Association and she works a large apiary on the St Elizabeth's Property and she has lectured to area bee clubs.
