Mike Church - Winter Hive Management - Getting Ready for the Spring Rush" We will discuss discuss feeding colonies as required, mite treatment options; equipment planning, building and maintenance; and a focus on preparing for swarm preparations, queen and nuc production in the Spring.

Mike, past president of Gateway Beekeepers club in King George, Va. has been producing honey, queens and nucs for over 15 years, provides sideline pollination services for Northern Neck farms and led the establishment of 2 beekeeping organizations.  He continues to  mentor and teach a variety of classes in Virginia and Southern Maryland consumes any empty moments.
