She specializes in honey bee queen rearing and breeding and supports research focused on genomics, behavior, nutrition, landscape ecology, and pollinator health. In addition to her research role, Kate collaborates with Dr. Robyn Underwood and Penn State Extension to develop and deliver educational programming for beekeepers.
